Volleyball star Lynne has her sights set on Olympics

Local volleyball star Lynne Beattie is heading to Italy for an eight-month stint with the Cedat 85 Volley San Vito club - as she aims to make her Olympic dreams come true.

Lynne (24) grew up in Eaglesham, going to the primary school before taking up volleyball at Mearns Castle High, and playing for one of Scotland's top clubs, Glasgow Su Ragazzi.

Now she has her sights set on being part of the Great Britain volleyball team as they prepare to make their debut at the London 2012 Olympics.
