Eaglesham volunteers needed to take the plunge for Hospice
1 February, 2012The Prince and Princess of Wales Hospice is looking for brave volunteers from Eaglesham to take the plunge when the charity holds the first-ever Dash ‘n’ Splash at Seamill.
Take the plunge with your friends and family at the Dash n' Splash on Sunday 26th February, where volunteers will be running into the Firth of Clyde sea for a brief and invigorating dip!
The dip will take place at 12pm at the Seamill Hydro Hotel near Ardrossan. The hotel will provide changing rooms, hot tea, coffee and soup.
You can wear what you like for your invigorating dunk into the water, which is a brief immersion only. If you don't want to get wet, there's lots of room for spectators to come along and cheer on the brave splashers. Participants must be over 16 years of age.
Registration is £10, plus an optional £5 for the bus from Glasgow to Seamill Hydro. We have not set a minimum sponsorship amount that you need to raise but we do ask that you raise as much as you can, with a suggested target of £50.
This is a joint event between The Prince & Princess of Wales Hospice and Ayrshire Hospice with dippers raising money for their local hospice.
You can find out more and get an entry form here on the Hospice website. To register over the phone or for more information please call Michelle on 0141 429 9859 or email michelle.pagett@ppwh.org.uk
